MultiVersus Tips for Playing the Mage Class
MultiVersus is an epic cross-platform fighting game launched in open beta testing by Warner Bros. The game features unlockable classic characters from Warner Bros., DC Comics, HBO, Turner Entertainment and Cartoon Network. There are 17 unlockable characters at the time of writing, with 2 more coming soon. MultiVersus has different character classes to choose from depending on your play style. While each character has their own set of skills, regardless of their class, some similarities can be seen. This guide has the tips you’ll need to play and master the mage class in MultiVersus. Since this is a difficult class, we recommend that you read this guide before you start practicing with Mages.
Tips for playing the mage class in MultiVersus
This class is quite difficult to master but incredibly powerful when you do it. Thus, at the time of writing, there are only two characters in the game: Bugs Bunny and Tom and Jerry. Rick will also play as a mage class, but he hasn’t been added to the MultiVersus roster yet. In addition, it is very important to understand what makes a magician so powerful.
What makes a mage class strong?
Firstly, the mage class is great at long range in MultiVersus, but when it comes to close range control, they are second to none. Even though they have a lot of projectiles in their gimmick repertoire, their ability to control crowds helps in close combat. If there is a word that can be dedicated to magicians, then it is definitely tricksters.
Thanks to their large amount of projectiles and strong normals, they can single-handedly defeat many other characters. For example, if you combine the best combos and the best abilities for Bugs Bunny, you can be pretty strong in combat, almost like the dark side of the force.
How to play mage
As a mage class in MultiVersus, your first step in playing this class is to master the timing of your moves. Once you understand what your character is doing, you can start fighting other players. Here are some things you should remember:
- As a mage, you want to hit your projectiles as often as possible. While they are on cooldown, you can control the game with your melee control combos.
- If you are afraid to get close to your opponent, you will lose brownie points, as one style will not help this class.
- When playing the mage class in MultiVersus, always lead your opponents where you want them to go. Set up your projectiles and then unleash a few melee attacks, giving the enemy less and less time.
- Although they both belong to the Mage class in MultiVersus, Bugs Bunny’s and Tom and Jerry’s playstyles are quite different. You have to understand what works best for your character.
- Finally, we also recommend that you get used to your character’s feints. This is incredibly useful if you are poisoning the enemy.
Although the mage class is difficult to master, it is one of the best when it comes to offense. Offense is the best defense and these characters prove it. And if you’re wondering which perks go best with these characters, check out this list of perk tiers and choose for yourself.
