MWC 2022: Honor Magic 4, Magic 4 Pro Launched with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, 50MP Rear Camera: Price, Specs

Last night, Honor announced two new flagship phones at the MWC 2022 event. The company announced the Honor Magic 4 and Magic 4 Pro smartphones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, 50-megapixel main camera and fast charging. At the same event, the brand also unveiled the new Honor Watch GS 3 smartwatch and Honor Earbuds 3 Pro TWS earbuds. Let’s take a closer look at all four products.

Features and price of Honor Magic 4, Magic 4 Pro

Both the Honor Magic 4 and Magic 4 Pro are equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G processor with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Honor OS Turbo X brings hardware and software together seamlessly to improve smoothness, anti-aging and power consumption. These devices also feature the industry’s first AI Super Rendering in mobile games with GPU Turbo X.

In addition, in the optics department, the Honor Magic 4 Pro features a triple rear camera setup: a 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture, a 50MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 64MP telephoto lens with f/3 aperture., 5. optical image stabilization and up to 100x periscope zoom. On the front, the phone will have a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The Magic 4 replaces the 64MP telephoto lens with an 8MP telephoto lens with 50x zoom. Both phones are equipped with a 12-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

The Honor Magic 4 Pro is powered by a 4600mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging and wireless charging, while the Magic 4 is powered by a 4800mAh battery with support for 66W fast charge. The Pro is rated IP68 while the vanilla model is IP54. Both phones run Magic UI 6.0 based on Android 12 and also have stereo speakers.

The Honor Magic 4 series will be available from the second quarter of 2022. The Magic 4 will start at €899 and the Magic 4 Pro will start at €1,099.

In terms of battery life, the Earbuds 3 Pro are rated for 34 hours of battery life with a case. The headphones can work up to 4 hours with ANC on and up to 6 hours without ANC at 50% volume. Charging can be done through the Type-C port or wirelessly. For control, you get the functions of pressing and swiping. They cost 199 euros and will be available in black and white.
