Inspired by the adventures of Steed Bonnet, played by comedian Rhys Darby (Jumanji, Akimbo’s Guns, Next Target Wins), Our Flag Means Death is a television series about a spoiled aristocrat who becomes the captain of a pirate ship called Revenge.. while he doesn’t know what it means to lead a life of crime on the high seas, From the start of his new life without wife and family, he will want to build his fame on the concept of “gentleman pirate”.

Created and written by David Jenkins (People of Earth) and directed by Taika Waititi (in addition to playing Blackbeard, the most feared and revered pirate in history), Our Flag Means Death will air on HBO Max next March.. Garrett Basch and Dan Halstead are executive producers.
