Hogwarts Legacy: How to Preload on PS5, PC, Steam and Xbox Consoles

Whether it’s books or movies, every Potterhead is excited to enter the magical doors of Hogwarts School in Hogwarts Legacy. With the release date just around the corner, most fellow wizards and witches wanted to preload the game. But the preload feature depends on the digital version and the supported platform you are running on. Luckily, most platforms have a preload feature that allows Potterheads to install the game before its release date. When can I preload Hogwarts Legacy (PS5 and Xbox Series X | S)

You can pre-download and download Hogwarts Legacy on PS5 and Xbox consoles after purchasing the Deluxe Edition or the physical Collector’s Edition. If you pre-order the Digital Deluxe edition on next-gen consoles, you can get 72 hours of early access. At the same time, 72 hours of early access will begin on February 7, 2023 at midnight.

As soon as the clock strikes midnight, you can immediately preload Hogwarts Legacy. As this is Global Early Access, time zones may vary depending on your region. So here’s a map showing the exact time zone for PS5 and Xbox Series X | S consoles:

Early access to Steam and the Epic Games Store

Like console players, PC players will be able to board the Hogwarts Express on February 7, 2023. However, there is no way to preload Hogwarts Legacy for Steam or the Epic Games Store. So you may have to wait a bit until you get to Hogwarts school. Regardless, you can pre-download the game and play it on release day.

Hogwarts heritage file size

Now, before we preload or preload the game, it is very important to know the size of the file to be loaded. Otherwise, you may not download Hogwarts Legacy at all. Here are the file sizes for PC and consoles:

• Xbox Series X|S: 76.67 GB
• PS5: 79.5 GB
• Windows PC: 85 GB

Because developers may also release fixes or Day 1 updates, this file may grow in size. Therefore, do not forget to leave additional hard disk space free. Hogwarts Legacy will release on February 10, 2023 at 9:00 PM (Pacific Standard Time) / 00:00 AM EST & GMT.
