NBA 2K23: NBA history will change with the eras of MyNBA

With MyNBA Eras in NBA 2K23, there’s no need to wonder “what if”when considering what could have happened in NBA history.

Key elements from NBA’s Greatest have been incorporated into the popular MyNBA mode, now called MyNBA Eras, in NBA 2K23 (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X only). Exclusive to PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S, this mode gives players full control of the NBA through four decades of basketball and the freedom to reshape the history of the sport by creating their own stellar alternate universes with new jerseys, never-before-seen rivalries, and the ultimate new dynasties our world has never known.

MyNBA eras in NBA 2K23

Each era has undergone several updates to recreate the atmosphere of that time. Each team has at least one unique field with a unique uniform. In addition, an era-specific filtering system has been developed to recreate the TV experience of these matches as originally broadcast, and each team expansion and franchise move counts towards the game.

• Age of Magic vs. Bird: Fast forward to the 1980s, players will be able to relive the rivalry between Magic Johnson and Larry Bird and rewrite NBA history by bringing players like Michael Jordan or Akim Olajuwon to unexpected teams.
• The Jordan Era: Behind the Scenes of the Chicago Bulls’ Rise to Basketball Dominance in the 1990s Unprecedented competition could change history…
• The Kobe era: During the 2000s, a new generation of talent emerged in the West, including Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs, Kevin Garnett and the Minnesota Timberwolves, Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks, and finally, the iconic Kobe Bryant, also known as the Black Mamba, and the Los Angeles Lakers. The legendary 2003 draft could have been very different depending on the choices made by the players.
• Modern Age: MyNBA’s previous experience is now called the Modern Age. Longtime fans of this mode can start with the newest rosters available and enjoy a traditional MyNBA experience.
