NetEase hires veteran Hiroyuki Kobayashi (Capcom)
Japanese producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi left Capcom and joined NetEase after 27 years of dedicated work.
After poaching the charismatic Toshihiro Nagoshi from Ryu ga Gotoku Studio (Sega) to create Nagoshi Studio to produce high-quality games for worldwide release, primarily on home consoles, and repatriating Goichi Suda aka Suda51 through the acquisition of Grasshopper Manufacture, Chinese giant NetEase also got Hiroyuki in his hands Kobayashi since the end of March last year:

The famed producer, who has been with Capcom for 27 years, started his career as a programmer on the first Resident Evil game. Hiroyuki Kobayashi then worked as a producer and planner for Shinji Mikami’s license for Dino Crisis. This promotion will allow him to lead many original projects such as Devil May Cry, Devil Kings, Killer7, Dragon’s Dogma or Gaist Crusher. His last notable exploit at a Japanese publishing house was to oversee animated adaptations of Capcom’s intellectual property for the streaming platform Netflix.
