Nikkei says Apple showed drawings of its car to an auto parts maker in 2020.

Apple reportedly showed the manufacturer drawings of its car in 2020. Unfortunately, the pandemic has stopped trading.

If Apple launches its own electric car on the market in the near future, then it is quite clear that the Cupertino company should already have at least contacts with auto parts manufacturers for various components of said car. A report from Nikkei Asia says that the Apple brand would show drawings of its design to a parts maker in 2020. In the end, this is not surprising.

Apple reportedly showed the manufacturer drawings of its car in 2020.

According to the report in question, it appears that the person claiming to be responsible for Apple components has contacted Japanese supplier Sanden, clearly announcing that the Cupertino-based company wants to make electric vehicles. The man then went to show Sanden some of the supposed blueprints for this first car, including the schematics needed for the car’s air conditioning system.

For those who don’t know, Sanden is one of the largest manufacturers of car air conditioning parts. Therefore, it is not surprising that Apple is making contact with him. The report also states that the two companies then discussed the specific and technical prerequisites for various elements. Unfortunately, it appears that Sanden will not be supplying the components in question for the Cupertino company.

Unfortunately, the pandemic put an end to trade

Indeed, due to the pandemic, Sanden’s business was at its worst in June 2020, the company had large debts to pay off, and negotiations with Apple had to be abandoned. There have been rumors that the Apple brand has contacted various car manufacturers to help the American giant in this titanic project, but to this day, no one knows who will fill this role. Deal with a sequel!
