Nothing Phone (1) Concept Design

Nothing Phone (1) will debut in the coming months in India and other markets. Ahead of the launch, a concept render of the phone has surfaced online. The concept describes the design elements of the first Nothing smartphone, which will be released later this year.

According to a concept render shared by Ben Geskin on Twitter, the phone has a dual camera on the back. This is very similar to the design of the iPhone X camera module, which has a dual camera and LED flash. There is an outline of the wireless charging coil in the center of the back panel. Max Jambore suspects that the phone could also come with MagSafe-like charging support.

Phone (1), like Nothing’s Ear (1), is expected to have a translucent design language. It will have power and volume buttons on the right edge. The phone will have a perforated display. Geskin expects the phone to have a center-aligned hole-punch cutout.

Nothing has confirmed that the phone will run Nothing OS out of the box. It will be based on Android and will offer the best features that the platform has to offer. Pei also stated that the OS will provide a fast, fluid and unified user experience. In addition to that, the phone is confirmed to receive three years of software support and four years of security updates. The Nothing launcher will be available on select Android smartphones in April 2022.
