Personal scales in recent years have become very high-tech items compared to what they were back then. Many scales today have become smart in some way and can go beyond the simple definition of weight. Withings unveils its body scan scale

It’s no surprise that Withings unveiled its latest creation called Body Scan at CES 2022. The scales in question offer all the standard features of a smart scale, such as weight and body composition (muscle mass) measurements. In doing so, it goes further than its competitors and takes advantage of these new sensors, which allow it, among other things, to work as an electrocardiograph and therefore analyze your heart rate in detail. On the scale, you can even evaluate your nervous activity.

To do this, Withings Body Scan measures the activity of the sweat glands in your legs, allowing users to monitor your neural activity on a daily basis. You can even determine the age of the vessels on the scale if you are worried about the health of your heart.

Withings Body Scan also uses bioelectrical impedance analysis to measure your body composition. In other words, if you are interested in body fat percentage, muscle mass, bone mass, water percentage and more, this new scale can provide you with information. And, as usual, this bathroom scale works with a dedicated app. This will allow you to track your data over time and share it with your doctor if you need to go further.

The Withings Body Scan scale will go on sale in the second half of 2022 for a public price of $299.95.
