The new Apple iPad Pro M2 will arrive in just a few days. Apple will prepare the launch of many products before the end of the year.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the next generation of iPad Pro with Apple’s M2 processors will arrive “within a few days.”These will be the first new models since last year and will offer a 20% speed boost over the M1 version. Apple will also introduce a docking station with a built-in speaker in 2023 and release new Macs before the end of the year, writes Mark Gurman in his newsletter.
The new Apple iPad Pro M2 will appear in just a few days
These new iPad Pro models will retain the same chassis as current models, with 11-inch and 12.9-inch versions. Although the performance gain is small, 20%, it is still significant, the M2 chips should improve the efficiency of the iPad Pro. In addition to the new high-end models, the Cupertino-based company will soon release a new entry-level iPad, according to Mark Gurman. It will have a USB-C port instead of a Lightning port – in line with future European regulations – and will be 5G compatible, but will use an A14 Bionic chip rather than an M.
Another rather intriguing piece of information: Apple is working on an iPad docking station accessory with a built-in speaker that could be announced next year. The idea is that a user can connect an iPad to an accessory to get a full-fledged home automation hub or a connected speaker. Then it will look like the speaker charging dock that Google has officially unveiled for its Pixel Tablet and will go on sale next year.
Apple to prepare many product launches before the end of the year
In addition to the new iPads, Apple will also release new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros before the end of the year. They will feature more powerful versions of the M2 chip, including the M2 Pro and M2 Max. Mac Mini with M2 chip coming soon.
Finally, Apple is working on the next generation of Apple TV, which will be equipped with an A14 chip and 4GB of RAM, which will represent a significant improvement over the current A12 model. While Mark Gurman is usually accurate when it comes to these kinds of predictions, Apple also has a habit of changing its mind about its products and launch dates. Therefore, these rumors should be treated with a grain of salt until nothing is formalized.
