Google introduces several new features for its new Meet app
Merging the Meet and Duo apps may be confusing for users, but it should provide some very interesting new features. The American company has really added cool features to this completely redesigned version of Meet. For example, the live streaming feature allows you to share Spotify and YouTube streams during calls. You can also play games such as Uno Mobile and Kahoot. Other changes made to this version of Meet include scheduled recurring meetings, virtual wallpapers, and in-meeting chats. As with the Meet features coming to Duo, direct sharing has been launched in recent weeks. Duo will be renamed to Meet later this month on mobile and later on other platforms.
An application that should better reflect today’s reality
Google touted this merger of Meet and Duo as an adaptation to today’s video calling realities. Live action clearly reflects this. This is an acknowledgment that many users are using video chats as a social space, especially since remote meetings have become more common than before the pandemic.
