OnePlus 9RT OxygenOS 12 update official March/April 2022 release
OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 9RT phone. The smartphone was launched back in October in China. The Chinese variant of the phone boots ColorOS 12 based on Android 12. However, OnePlus has decided to ship OnePlus 9RT global devices with OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11. It looks like OnePlus 9RT buyers in the country will have to wait a while until they can use the stable version of Android 12 on your OnePlus 9RT.
Amazon’s listing for the OnePlus 9RT shows the phone will receive the OxygenOS 12 update sometime in March/April 2022. This is quite disappointing considering the fact that Android 12 has been around for almost 5 months now, and the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are already running stable builds of OxygenOS 12. There’s a good chance that the OnePlus 9R could also get a stable Android 12 update before its will receive the recently released OnePlus 9RT.
Also, OnePlus follows a 3-year Android version upgrade policy, which means that if you buy a OnePlus 9RT in 2022, you’ll just be eligible to receive the 2023 and 2024 Android upgrade versions.
