Anomaly Research is part of the Anomaly Research quests that reveal a list of endgame monsters for MHR Sunbreak. The monsters in this anomaly research list are affected by Curio’s influence under Malenzo’s control. These monsters are strong and crazy. Anomaly quests are quests that ask you to kill said monster. Anomaly research will prompt you to find the Monster in given conditions. In short, these are exploration and assassination quests.

At their end there is a little RNG. You will need to complete the highest level Anomaly Investigation to get a higher level Investigation. If you haven’t done any of the Anomaly quests before, it will take you a while to get to the max limit. You can counteract this by finding these Anomaly Researches in Multiplayer. Enter, kill the monster, and you’ll get anomaly research a level higher than the research you just did. Keep doing this until you reach A5 monsters, these are hit monsters that will drop rarer and more valuable loot.
