Skyesports Mobile Open Tournament announced with Rs 40,000,000 prize pool: BGMI, Real Cricket 20, etc.

Skyesports’ next major tournament is the Skyesports Mobile Open which features Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), Hearthstone, Clash of Clans, FIFA Football, Brawl Starrs and Real Cricket 20. The tournament was originally supposed to have a prize pool of Rs 25,000,000. but now it has been increased to a whopping 40,000,000 rupees.

The Skyesports Mobile Open will also include qualifiers open to all, which means that players from all over the country will be able to take part in the tournament. This is very much in line with Skyesports’ goal of developing grassroots esports in the country, allowing every mobile player to turn pro and play competitively. Presented by Ryzen and operated by Loco, with gaming storage partner WD Black, the Skyesports Mobile Open is undoubtedly one of the most exciting tournaments on the horizon and definitely one to keep an eye on.

Skyesports Mobile Open to present 2022 Asian Games games

“There are over 300 million mobile players in India and the market is growing at a very fast pace,” said Shiva Nandi, CEO of Skyesports. “We are very excited to launch this new IP especially for them. The Skyesports Mobile Open is aimed at mobile gamers from all over the country, providing them with a path to the Asian Games 2022, where esports was marked as a medal event for the first time. With open qualifiers, we are very excited to see new stars emerge in the competition.”

Registration for the Skyesports Mobile Open will open soon, with the exception of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). The top 5 teams in the Skyesports Skirmish series and the top 14 teams in the Skyesports Championship 3.0 will take place at BGMI. Both of these tournaments had open qualifiers and the format allowed for greater regional penetration by dividing the country into different regions.

Prize pool split:

  • BGMI: Rs. 2 500 000
  • Hearthstone: Rs. 300 000
  • Clash of Clans: Rs. 300 000
  • Brawl Stars: Rs. 300 000
  • Real Cricket 20: Rs. 300 000
  • FIFA Football: Rs. 300 000

I am confident that this event will help create healthy competition among the Indian Hearthstone community and also help introduce Hearthstone to new players,” said Tirt Mehta, Indian Esports (Hearthstone) bronze medalist at the 2018 Asian Games.
