OnePlus OxygenOS 12 Closed Beta Program for Nord 2 Announced

OnePlus has announced the OxygenOS 12 closed beta program for OnePlus Nord 2 5G phone users. The company has reached out to the OnePlus community to make an official announcement about it. For now, the program is limited to OnePlus Nord 2 users and does not include Nord 2 PAC-MAN Edition.

OnePlus plans to recruit 200 closed beta testers for the program. For those who don’t know, the closed beta testing phase is the first step towards a stable release. Once a closed beta is completed, OnePlus usually announces an open beta program followed by a stable release.

OnePlus Nord 2 Short Term Closed Beta!

OnePlus says it has changed its closed beta program strategy and this CBT program will not be long term. Instead, the brand is aiming for a short-term closed beta testing program and only plans to release a few builds.

The company plans to enroll 200 OnePlus Nord 2 users into the program. Selected users will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement with the company. The company says members should communicate regularly, report bugs/problems, and make suggestions to the software development team on Telegram.

Specifications and features of OnePlus Nord 2 5G

The Nord 2 5G features a 6.43-inch Full HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood of the phone is a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 AI octa-core processor paired with a Mali-G77 GPU.

The Nord 2 offers a triple rear camera setup including a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens and a 2MP mono camera. For selfies and video calls, it uses a 32-megapixel camera. It packs a 4500mAh battery and supports 65W fast charging.
