Sony PlayStation 5 next pre-booking dates announced
It’s been a while since the PS5 restocked, but it looks like players won’t have to wait long to try and get their hands on Sony’s next-generation console. Pre-orders for PlayStation 5 open on December 6 at 12 noon (noon) and promotions will be available from major retailers like Amazon, ShopatSC, GamesTheShop and more.
As previously reported, replenishment of stocks was planned earlier at the end of November, but the deadlines were postponed to December. This could very well be the last restocking of the year, so if you’re looking to pick up a next-gen console for Christmas this year, this could be it.
Pre-booking for PlayStation 5 will begin on December 6th at 12:00 PM.
The December 6th restocking will include both the standard PlayStation 5 and the digital version. The standard edition costs $670 and the Digital Edition costs $540. The price difference is due to the lack of an optical disc drive in the Digital Edition. Basically, the Digital Edition will not be able to run discs and can only run games purchased digitally through the PlayStation Store.
The console is likely to be in extremely high demand, so inventory is likely to disappear off the shelf fairly quickly, as evidenced by previous restockings in the country where stocks only lasted a few minutes. The PlayStation 5 was a resounding success for Sony as it became the best-selling console in the company’s history within its first year of launch.
The PlayStation 5 offers a range of great games, both third-party and in-house, such as Hitman 3, Far Cry 6, and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The inevitable future of the console looks pretty impressive, with great games slated for release in early 2022 and beyond.
