Samsung has updated its line of Galaxy Book laptops. The South Korean tech giant, best known for flagship smartphones in the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy S21 series, has unveiled three new laptops in the US. The Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G, as the name suggests, has a 360-degree hinge mechanism. Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Book and Galaxy Book Odyssey. Samsung’s new laptops feature an 11th generation Intel processor under the hood and also offer 5G connectivity. Plus, they run Windows 11 out of the box. Samsung Galaxy Book lineup expands with three new laptops
Samsung launched the Galaxy Book in the US in two flavors with a starting price of $749. For the price, users get an Intel Core i5-1135G7 with 8GB of RAM. The laptop comes in a single silver color option.
The Galaxy Book Odyssey and Galaxy Book Pro 360 are priced at $1,399.99. The former comes in Mystic Black while the Pro 360 5G comes in Mystic Silver.
Specifications and features
The Galaxy Book features a 15.6-inch Full HD LED touch display. It comes in two flavors, the 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 and the 11th Gen Core i7-1165G7 with up to 16GB of RAM. The laptop also features Intel Iris Xe Max graphics with up to 512GB SSD storage. The laptop comes with two 2W speakers and Dolby Atmos support. It has two USB Type-C ports, two USB 3.2 ports, and an HDMI slot. The laptop also supports Wi-Fi 6 and is equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack. It has a 54Wh battery pack and runs Windows 11 Home out of the box.
The Galaxy Book Odyssey features a 15.6-inch Full HD LED display. The screen has a thin bezel and a brightness of 300 nits. It features a single 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11600H processor paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050Ti Max-Q graphics. The laptop has 8GB/16GB/32GB RAM options with 512GB/1TB SSD options. It also features dual 2W speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The Galaxy Book Odyssey has the same number of ports as the standard variant but comes with an additional USB 3.2 port. It also has a large 83 Wh battery inside.
Finally, the Galaxy Book 360 Pro features a slightly smaller 13.3-inch Full HD AMOLED display. The laptop is presented in two variants with 11th generation Intel Core i5-1130G7 and Core i7-1160G7 processors. It is equipped with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB SSD. The laptop also supports the S Pen and features Intel Iris Xe graphics under the hood. It has a Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB Type-C ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Book Pro 360 comes with a 63Wh battery and runs Windows 11 out of the box.
