Ocean’s Eleven: Ryan Gosling Should Join Margot Robbie in Casting
Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling are set to be the shocking duo in the new Ocean’s Eleven movie.
Canadian comedian Ryan Gosling is currently in talks to star alongside Margot Robbie in the new Ocean’s Eleven movie, which Jay Roach (Austin Powers, Dalton Trumbo, Fringe) will direct for Warner Bros. discovery. If the prequel to Ocean’s Eleven, written by Carrie Solomon, takes place in 1960s Europe, the exact details of its plot are still being kept under wraps. The project has yet to be approved and is still in “active development”but production could finally begin next spring.
Ocean’s Eleven Heist Story
Director Steven Soderbergh launched the Ocean franchise based on the 1960 film The Rat Pack with Ocean’s Eleven in 2001. The debut feature film, starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Julia Roberts, grossed over $450 million worldwide, and its success spawned other titles. including Ocean’s Twelve (2004), Ocean’s Thirteen (2007) and Ocean’s 8 Women (2018).
Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley are producing Ocean’s Eleven prequel for LuckyChap with Roach and Michelle Graham for Everyman Pictures. Gary Ross, Olivia Milch and Josie McNamara of LuckyChap will serve as executive producers, along with Village Roadshow, which may also be co-financing the film.
