Xiaomi has confirmed the release of two new Redmi Note series smartphones. The company will soon release the Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro Plus 5G in India. Both Note 11 series smartphones will debut in India on March 9th. The company has already launched the Redmi Note 11 Pro series in European markets.
The Note 11 Pro+ 5G will be released as the rebranded Note 11 Pro 5G. Both phones use a lot of hardware. The Pro+ 5G has a Snapdragon 695 SoC, while the vanilla Note 11 Pro has a MediaTek Helio G96 chipset. Launch of Redmi Note 11 Pro
Redmi Note 11 Pro and Pro Plus 5G will be launched in India on March 9th. The standard Note 11 Pro will be offered as a 4G smartphone in India. Xiaomi has already confirmed some specifications of the Redmi Note 11 Pro in India. First, the devices will come with support for 67W fast charging. The main camera sensor will be 108 MP. The devices will also feature a 120Hz refresh rate display.
The declared characteristics are similar to global models. So the Indian variants are likely to have the same hardware.
Specifications and features
Both phones feature a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. The screen has 120Hz refresh rate support and a notch in the top center. The Note 11 Pro Plus 5G will have a triple camera on the back. It has a 108MP main camera sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The standard Note 11 Pro 4G gets an additional 2MP depth sensor.
For selfies, both phones are equipped with a 16-megapixel front camera. The devices also come with a 5000 mAh battery. Both support 67W fast charging out of the box. The Note 11 Pro models also feature dual speakers and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. They run Android 11 out of the box and have a MIUI 13 layer on top. It is possible that Xiaomi may announce the Android 12 update schedule for the Note 11 series at launch.
In terms of performance, the 5G variant is powered by the Snapdragon 695 SoC. The 4G variant comes with a MediaTek Helio G96 SoC under the hood.
