OnePlus 10 Series Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Confirmed

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has confirmed that the company’s upcoming devices will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC under the hood. The CEO did not mention the OnePlus 10 series directly in his Weibo post, but this is expected to be exactly what the company will call the next flagship. Both the OnePlus 10 and 10 Pro devices are expected to launch with Qualcomm’s new flagship chipset.

Details of the Pro model have been leaked to the past. The leaked design data suggests that OnePlus will significantly change the design of the back of the device. It will feature a square-shaped camera module that will house a triple camera on the back. The camera module curves along the side frame, creating a seamless blend. Details about the camera’s sensors remain unknown. We can expect OnePlus to offer a 50MP main or ultra-wide camera sensor. Information leaked by Digital Chat Station revealed that the Pro model will support 3.3x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom.

On the front, the phone will have a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display with a hole punch for the front camera. The notch is supposed to be in the upper left corner of the display. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack, but the device does have the power button and alert slider on the right edge, while the volume keys are located on the left edge. The phone is rumored to feature 125W fast charging for a 5,000mAh battery.
