Opa334 releases sixth Fugu15 Max beta jailbreak for arm64e devices on iOS 15.0-15.4.1 with minor bug fixes

The Twitter – announced Fugu15 Max Beta 6 is a relatively minor update based on Beta 5 and, with a link to the project’s GitHub page, includes the following changes:

List of changes:

– Fixed some memory corruption in system wide and startup hooks, should fix the occasional “initproc fired”panic

The sixth Fugu15 Max is still only for developers to prepare their jailbreak tweaks and other add-ons to support it and dynamics without root, but due to the fact that it is public, even non-developers can test it. However, it is worth noting that the latter is not recommended and Fröder will not offer support to those who are not a developer installing a beta.

Instead, regular jailbreakers are advised to wait until Fugu15 Max is out of beta, which is expected to happen in the near future as most of the milestones have been reached, ranging from fixing the Wi-Fi bug, implementing tweaks, and a few other things. At the moment, one of the main things that is still missing is usability improvements.

Fugu15 Max is largely based on Linus Henze’s Fugu15 jailbreak for arm64e devices (iPhone XS and later) running iOS and iPadOS 15.0-15.4.1. Fugu15 Max is the project’s working title, so we expect Fröder to give it a different name when it’s out of beta and released to the general public.

If you are using an older device with an A9-A11 chip that is older than the iPhone XS, you can instead use the palera1n jailbreak based on the checkm8 bootrom exploit to jailbreak iOS or iPadOS 15.0-16.x.

For now, anyone using the Fugu15 Max developer beta can grab the latest beta from the project’s GitHub page. For security reasons, it is important not to download the jailbreak from any other source.
