Oppo unveils X5 series smartphone with Hasselblad camera

Oppo is preparing to announce the launch date of the Find X5 series. The company is expected to launch its top-tier flagship smartphones in the coming weeks. The Find X5 series will debut first in China. Oppo may introduce devices in other markets. Ahead of the official launch, Oppo has confirmed its collaboration with Hasselblad for the Find X5 series.

Oppo’s future flagship smartphones will ship with Hasselblad-tuned cameras. OnePlus partnered with the legendary camera company last year for its flagship smartphones. So it’s no surprise that Oppo will also take advantage of the camera maker’s expertise to tweak the optics of its flagship smartphone after the merger.

Oppo Find X5 Series x Hasselblad

The launch date of the Oppo Find X5 series is currently unknown. Now the company has released a new teaser confirming the partnership with Hasselblad. Oppo is expected to offer the same set of camera features as OnePlus in its flagship device. Natural color calibration can be expected to provide more accurate and natural colors. We can expect XPan mode to appear on Oppo’s flagship smartphones as well. There is no confirmation of official features, but we expect them to come on board based on how the company is slowly integrating the software experience.

A design leak in the past has confirmed Oppo’s collaboration with Hasselblad for the Find X series. The devices will feature a triple camera on the back. The Pro model will feature a 50MP main camera with f/1.7 aperture and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. It will have a 13MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. The base model may have the same 50MP main camera as the Pro model.

Both devices will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and support 80W fast charging. The Find X5 Pro is rumored to be equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery, while the vanilla model may be equipped with a 4,800 mAh battery.

On the front, the Pro model will have a 6.7-inch AMOLED 2K display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The base model will feature a 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Unlike the Pro model with a curved screen, the vanilla model will have a flat display.
