Overwatch 2 PvP beta finally outdated
In addition to 5v5 matches – Overwatch PvP is typically played 6v6 – the beta will also introduce four new maps, a new Push mode, and redesigned heroes. And one of these heroes will even get the right to much more than a simple modification of his characteristics and abilities or a small visual facelift.
Indeed, a few days ago, Blizzard posted a screenshot of the game showing Doomfist as a tank. Although the image has since been removed, the studio eventually confirmed that the character would change roles from an offensive character to a tank.
See you April 26
Blizzard began testing this role reversal for Doomfist last year, head of character design Jeff Goodman revealed on Reddit in October. At the time, Jeff Goodman explained that this character’s kit was “full of crowd control and mobility effects”and that made it difficult to balance him as an offensive character in Overwatch 2. He can keep those properties as a tank, but obviously lose some damage to receive a PIECE IN PROTECTION. In Overwatch 2, there can only be one tank per team. Therefore, wise choices will need to be made to ensure victory.
