Pacific Drive, a lightweight road that combines driving and survival
Ironwood Studios presents Pacific Drive.
Pacific Drive, developed over three years, is a first-person survival and driving game. The players’ vehicle is their only companion as they travel through a surreal, anomaly-filled re-imagining of the Pacific Northwest (a new demonstration of future technology by the US government in the 1950s). Each journey through the wild brings with it unique and bizarre challenges as players restore and upgrade their car in the abandoned garage that serves as their base. With a car as their lifeline, they will uncover a long-forgotten secret as they head into the heart of the Olympic Exclusion Zone.

Pacific Drive will release in 2023 on PS5 and PC. The first video game from American independent studio Ironwood Studios will be translated into English, Spanish, German, French, Russian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Korean.
Blake Dove, head of communications and marketing at Ironwood Studios, said:
Since its founding in 2019, Ironwood Studios has been hard at work on Pacific Drive and we are very proud to be partnering with PlayStation to bring this project to life. Our team loves to create surreal scenery and integrate complex mechanics that allow players to experience unique and unexpected experiences. We love urban legends and the forests of the Pacific Northwest, two things the Olympic Exclusion Zone is full of. And knowingly any of us would refuse good old travel! As you sort through what’s left of the area, you’ll find that the places aren’t as abandoned as they seem; and that some of the dusty stories and legends that inhabit the area are still alive.
