Sandman: no second season yet, but new episodes ordered

More stories from Neil Gaiman’s graphic novel coming soon to Netflix.

The new episodes of The Sandman will delve into the conflict between The Dream (Tom Sturridge) and the forces of Hell, led by Lucifer himself (Gwendoline Christie), while also continuing to explore the many challenges the universe is facing after Morpheus’s absence for a century.

The Sandman television series is designed and produced by Neil Gaiman (who created this iteration of the character in his DC Comics original series), Allan Heinberg, and David S. Goyer. Along with Tom Sturridge and Gwendoline Christie, The Sandman stars Boyd Holbrook, Patton Oswalt, Vivienne Achempong, Charles Dance, Jenna Coleman, David Thewlis, Stephen Fry, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Mason Alexander Park, Donna Preston, Vanesu Samunyai (formerly known as Kyo Ra), John Cameron Mitchell, Asim Chaudhry, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Joely Richardson, Niamh Walsh, Sandra James-Young and Razan Jammal.
