Pine, Micro Habits, Ask and Shake and more apps to try this weekend.
Once again, it’s time for another episode of our Apps of the Week review. We’ve got some great options for you this week, including a new photo-sharing app, a habit tracker, and an app that will answer all your questions. And, as usual, we have selected a great game for you.
Pine – Photo Collections
Here’s an interesting concept. Pine is a simple photo sharing app with no ads, algorithms, or forced content. You can create your own photo collections and choose which collections to follow to control everything you see. For example, if you like your friend’s fishing photos but don’t want to see his family, you can simply subscribe to his fishing collection. Like I said, it’s an interesting concept, time will tell if it has any legs.
Microhabits – Self Improvement
So, I would probably choose a different logo – definitely a different icon. However, Micro Habits is an aesthetically pleasing app to help you set goals, build healthy habits, and track your progress. You can create to-do lists, track your mood, write in a journal, and even invite an accountability partner to help you stay on track. It’s a crowded space, but this app might work in a certain way or have a certain feature that will make you want to use it over others.
Ask and shake: for everything!
Ask & Shake is a simple useless app that looks like one of those Magic 8 toy balls. You ask it a question, shake your phone, and it gives a vague answer like “maybe.”And yes, that’s all. Look, it was either that or a project management tool for large corporations, so I thought why not use a more interesting application that anyone can use. “Should I get pizza for dinner?”Are the Cowboys going to win the Super Bowl? See? The possibilities are endless!
Tournament Edition Golden Tee
From the makers of one of the most popular sports games ever made, The Golden Tee Tournament Edition is a golf experience true to the origins of the legendary title. For those unfamiliar with the name, Golden Tee is a popular arcade golf game found in bars and other establishments. It’s been on iOS for a while, and it looks like an update with faster game modes, real cash prizes, and exciting new head-to-head matches.
