PlayStation Network on PC: Steam opens for account linking

Sony Interactive Entertainment announces that PlayStation Network and Steam accounts can now be linked.

If PlayStation Network still does not have its own PC launcher, Sony Interactive Entertainment allows PlayStation Network account holders to link it to Valve’s Steam platform. If only clothes, a gadget, and two skill points for Spider-Man Remastered can be pre-unlocked at the moment, it’s likely that PlayStation trophies will be compatible on PC in the long run.

Link your Steam account to PlayStation Network to unlock content for Spider-Man Remastered and other PlayStation Studios games. You’ll also get all the latest news, offers and updates for PlayStation Studios games on PC or PlayStation consoles. Register by creating a PlayStation Network account or by logging in with your Sony account and password. For new accounts, you can choose to allow email and console messaging when the account is created. For existing accounts, you can allow messages through the Notifications tab in your account settings.

Is there a platform that brings together PlayStation Network and PlayStation Store on PC soon?

By porting their licenses to PC, Sony Interactive Entertainment is attracting new players and boosting sales of some successful PS5 and PS4 titles such as Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, Spider-Man Remastered, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves. Collection and Sackboy: Big Adventure. But for now, the Japanese video game giant’s subsidiary doesn’t have a storefront where you can directly sell your PC games.

After the acquisition of Nixxes Software, Sony Interactive Entertainment could speed up by reinstating partners such as Jetpack Interactive and Iron Galaxy Studios to improve the rendering of their products and ports, as well as getting their hands on the Polish group CD Projekt, which owns GOG, one of the main competitors.
