PlayStation VR2: Tobii in talks with Sony to become eye-tracking tech provider

The world leader in eye tracking and a pioneer in motion detection may partner with Sony to create the PlayStation VR2.

Swedish company Tobii has been in talks with Sony for weeks about including eye-tracking technology in the PlayStation VR2: “We are not commenting on the financial implications of the deal at this time as discussions are ongoing. This information must be made public in accordance with European rules on market abuse. ”

The release of the PlayStation VR2 could be scheduled for the end of the year if the virtual reality headset is fully ready and also has enough stock to satisfy fans of the Japanese brand, as well as fans of tech products.
