Apple is rumored to be redesigning the iPhone Control Center in iOS 17.

According to a source with a proven track record, iOS 17 could bring major changes to the iPhone’s Control Center in time for its tenth anniversary.

• What’s happening? The leaker claims that iOS 17 will bring “major”changes to the iPhone’s Control Center, but doesn’t reveal what those differences might be.

iOS 17 may change the design of the Control Center on the iPhone

This information comes from a member of the MacRumors forum, who provided accurate details about Dynamic Island on the iPhone 14 Pro before the official launch.

“In an email, an anonymous source added that iOS 17 will focus on improving performance and stability, suggesting that the updated Control Center could be one of the most notable changes coming with the software update,”writes MacRumors .

iOS 17 will be primarily a service release with bug fixes and some new features, but no tents, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. That’s not to say there won’t be anything new in iOS 17 to make customers happy, like a revamped Control Center, but the focus will be on reliability and performance.

Happy 10th Anniversary, Command Center!

The Control Center launched with the Great iOS UI Smoothing back in 2013 and remained largely unchanged until the release of iOS 11 in 2017.

That’s when we got the Control Center we know and love today. Since this feature is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, it would be nice to have a visual overhaul.

Accessible by swiping down from the top right corner of the iPhone, Control Center provides toggles to quickly turn on or off frequently used features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, and more. The feature also offers many handy shortcuts to access your camera, volume and display sliders, the Wallet app, smart home appliances, the Calculator app, light/dark modes, and more.

Since the debut of Control Center on the iPhone a decade ago, Apple has extended the feature to the Apple TV, Apple Watch, and Mac.
