Apple has confirmed the launch of the event for October 18th. The company’s new event, called Unleashed, will take place virtually. Apple is expected to announce new MacBook Pro models at the event. The company, as expected, did not confirm the exact data on the release of products, which are expected on October 18th. However, the rumor mill has circulated some additional information about the upcoming MacBook Pro models. The latest development from tipster Dylan reveals many new details about the upcoming MacBook Pro. Let’s take a look at the leaked specs, features, and other details of the Apple M1X MacBook Pro that were revealed ahead of launch.
Leaked MacBook Pro M1X specs
Apple will most likely unveil the MacBook Pro M1X at the Unleashed Apple event. Ahead of the launch, a detailed specification was leaked online. Tipster Dylan, who has a pretty accurate past when it comes to Apple leaks, confirmed previous leaks confirming the launch of mini-LED displays on the Pro MacBook. The company will introduce a laptop with two screen sizes – 14 and 16 inches. Dylan also states that there is no confirmation of enabling 120Hz refresh rate support on the Pro models. Earlier this year, the company tested a high refresh rate display on its prototype.
The bezels around the display are said to be getting narrower, resulting in more screen real estate for almost the same form factor. Unlike previous MacBook Pros, the new M1X machines will not have a logo on the bottom display bezel. The top bar also says that the company has upgraded the webcam to 1080p.
In terms of performance, both machines will come with 16GB of RAM as standard. Apple will also upgrade base storage to 512GB on Pro models. Additionally, there will be a new charging brick. It is not known if this brick will be similar to the iMac brick, which has an Ethernet port.
As mentioned earlier, the new MacBook Pros will have a faster M1X chip. It is said that the 10-core processor will be in two versions. The base variant will have a 16-core GPU, while the higher-end version will have a 32-core GPU. Apple is also said to be adding more slots this time around. There will be an SD card slot, an HDMI port, and USB Type-C ports. The company will likely ditch the touchpad and return to traditional function keys according to the leak.
More information about MacBook Pro models will be revealed on October 18 at an Apple event.
