Throughout the God of War series, Kratos has slain numerous Greek gods and goddesses. But none of his enemies have such a ruthless physique as our golden boy Thor. At the same time, mixed reviews are associated with Thor’s thick physique. Including those who shame him. But is he being honest with Norse mythology, or has Santa Monica created something new? Since Sony GOW Art Director Raf Grasserti sharedcharacter design for Thor, this has become a point of contention. But it was teased during the events of God of War (2018). There are several instances where Mimir mentions Thor. When Mimir talks to Kratos and Atreus, he calls him Fat Dobber, whom the World Serpent simply hates. Other instances include what he refers to as Thor the Sweaty Bobblehead and the Thunderhead Bobblehead. This has led several fans to believe that Thor has a beer belly or belly. While Norse mythologies depict Thor and his admiration for beer as well as food, this may not be the reason for his mass. This depiction of Thor may be one of the most accurate so far. His physique can be described as a Beefcake physique suitable for heavyweights or fighters.

However, that hasn’t stopped the community from criticizing him for being fat. This may be due to the glamorous imprint that the MCU’s Chris Hemsworth has left over the years. On the contrary, Thor never had blond hair or such a chiseled appearance. Thor’s appearance in Avengers: Endgame could be considered Marvel’s closest Scandinavian depiction. I know it might be a little hard for MCU fans to see a different version of Thor in Ragnarok. But given the culture of the Vikings, this is a much more suitable option. According to Norse myths, Thor is a cruel savage capable of slaughtering anyone in the Nine Realms. This is exactly what Mimir states when talking to Kratos and Atreus. Moving on to the main theme, Thor in GOW Ragnarok is a true depiction of Scandinavian images. While God of War Ragnarok can afford more freedom in changing it, it looks pretty close to its Scandinavian counterpart. In my opinion, it will be quite interesting to see a version of Thor taken straight from the Scandinavian iteration.
