Poco officially confirms the Poco C40 and Poco C40+ monikers in a community forum post

Looks like Poco is gearing up for a new C-series phone, the Poco C40. A couple of days ago, a Poco C40 with model number 220333QPG was spotted on the NBTC certification site. The upcoming phone has also been spotted on the FCC certification website. Poco has not released the device yet, but the brand has already announced the MIUI Global Stable ROM test program for the phone.

In a post on the Poco Community Forum, Poco Global has invited apps to test the Poco C40 MIUI Global Stable ROM. Along with this device, the brand also revealed the existence of another C-series device, the Poco C40+. Poco Global is looking for ROM testers in the Indonesia region, which means the device could soon go official in Indonesia. Let’s take a closer look at what we know about the Poco C40 and the + variant so far.

Poco C40 and Poco C40+ What we know so far

In a post on the Poco community forum, these devices are mentioned together, which means that both of these devices will run the same firmware due to similar hardware. This leads us to believe that Poco C40 and Poco C40+ may differ from each other in terms of storage and memory. We have already seen Xiaomi do the same with Redmi 9A and Redmi 9i in the past.

Poco C40 has model number 220333Q which is also the model number of Redmi 10C (known as Redmi 10 in India). Based on this, it seems that the Poco C40 and Poco C40+ could be the rebranded Redmi 10C. If that happens, the Poco C40 and Poco C40+ will feature a 6.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with 400 nits of brightness and a waterdrop notch.

For those who don’t know, the Redmi 10C is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor. However, a recent reveal by Kacper Skshipek revealed that the upcoming Poco C40 will use the entry-level chipset – JR510.

The FCC listing showed that the device will boot MIUI 13, but according to Kachper, the phone will boot MIUI Go Edition. The FCC listing has already confirmed that the upcoming Poco phone will support 10W charging. In addition, the certification list also states that the device will support both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi. The phone measures 167.18 x 76.87mm in length and width, as shown in the listing.
