After the US, Amazon Luna arrives in Canada, Germany and the UK.
Amazon Luna lands in three new countries. Will the American giant succeed where Google failed?
A year after its launch in the US, Amazon Luna will appear in three new countries. The cloud gaming service is currently available in Canada, Germany, and the UK. This expansion marks the first time that customers outside of the US will be able to test Luna. If you are a Prime subscriber, know that the American giant offers a certain number of games each month. The March selection includes four games, including Megaman 11 and Trails from Zero.
Amazon Luna arrives in three new countries
You can access more of the Luna catalog by subscribing to packages that Amazon calls “Channels”. For example, the Luna+ channel offers games like Control, Street Fighter II, and Tetris Effect. Prices vary from country to country, but for example in Canada, Luna+ is offered for $13 per month.
There’s also a Ubisoft+ channel that gives you access to all of the publisher’s top titles, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs: Legion, and Rainbow Six Extraction. If you already have some of these Ubisoft games on your PC, know that you can enjoy them on Luna if you have an Amazon Prime or Luna+ subscription.
Will the American giant succeed where Google failed?
From a more global perspective, today’s announcement of this expansion to three new countries, countries where Stadia was available before Google unceremoniously shut it down at the very beginning of the year. And judging by the fact that Amazon recently removed at least 53 games from its Luna+ catalog, we can say that the service is already having a very difficult start. This expansion is a step in the right direction to reach a wider audience. I hope Amazon succeeds where Google has failed.
