Epic Games Store Holiday Sale 2021: Ethan Carter’s disappearance is currently free to claim
The Epic Games Store is giving away a total of 15 free games this holiday season, and today’s game is The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. Epic is giving away one free game regularly from December 16 to January 6, 2022. So far, players have received the fantastic Shenmue 3, as well as Neon Abyss and Remnant: From the Ashes.
One of the best detective games on PC, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter follows the adventures of Paul Prospero as he tries to solve a case and uncover the truth about Ethan’s disappearance. Exploration and interaction with the environment are emphasized in this mysterious first-person game. This non-linear title allows players to draw conclusions at their own pace and in any way they see fit.
Ethan Carter Vanishes is available for free on the Epic Games Store.
The holiday giveaway on the Epic Games Store has been pretty solid so far, and the next free game should be announced in about 9 hours. So far, the lineup includes solid indie games and AA games, all of which have tremendous value to offer players. The Disappearance of Ethan Carter is a book developed and published by The Astronauts and was originally released in 2014.
The game has since been ported to more platforms such as PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Fantastic atmospheric horror and open world make the game a fantastic detective adventure that has endless replay value. The open world, mixed with Paul’s ability to communicate with the dead, creates a number of interesting challenges that can lead to more challenging puzzles.
To get free games on the Epic Games Store, players will need an Epic Games account and the Epic Games Launcher. Both can be downloaded directly from the official website, the link to which is here.
