Poco C40 unveiled with 6.71-inch display and 6000 mAh battery: price, specifications

Poco Global has finally unveiled its first entry-level smartphone, the Poco C40. The Poco C40 comes with Poco’s signature design language and will also be sold in Poco Yellow. The all-new C-series smartphone features an entry-level JLQ processor and up to 4GB of RAM. Poco’s latest phone offers a large display and a giant 6000mAh battery.

Other notable features of the Poco C40 include a 13MP camera, 18W fast charging, and a fingerprint scanner. Let’s take a closer look at the price, specifications, and features of the Poco C40.

Poco C40: price and availability

The Poco C40 will come in two configurations – 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB. Poco has yet to reveal pricing for the smartphone. The phone will soon be available for purchase in global markets. Nothing is known about the launch of the Poco C40 in India yet. However, we can certainly expect it to be launched in the country in the coming weeks.

Poco C40: specifications and features

The Poco C40 offers a 6.71-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1650×720 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate. The front panel is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass and the front selfie camera is inside the dot notch.

The Poco C40 is powered by an octa-core JLQ JR510 processor and an integrated Mali G52 GPU. The system on a chip has up to 4 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of internal memory. The phone also offers a dedicated micro-SD card slot that accepts cards up to 1TB. Poco C40 downloads MIUI 13 for Poco based on Android 11.

Poco C40 is equipped with a dual rear camera and LED flash. The main camera of the device is a 13-megapixel sensor with f / 2.2 aperture and PDAF support. It is accompanied by a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, it features a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture.

The Poco C40 packs a 6000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. However, buyers should note that the retail box will only include a 10W charging adapter. The phone uses a Type-C port for charging and data transfer. It also has a fingerprint scanner on the back and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Poco C40 will be available in Power Black, Coral Green, and Poco Yellow. Its dimensions are 169.59 × 76.56 × 9.18 mm and it weighs 204 grams. Connectivity options include dual SIM, 4G, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Glonass and Galileo.
