Samsung Galaxy M53 5G unveiled with 120Hz display and 108MP camera: specs, features

Samsung is in the launch phase. The brand has silently released a new M series phone, the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G. The latest M-series phone offers the same design language as its sibling, the Galaxy M33 5G. However, the Galaxy M53 5G offers a center-notched AMOLED display compared to the Infinity-V notch LCD on the Galaxy M33 5G.

The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G offers a 108MP camera and a 120Hz display. Other highlights of the device include a 5,000mAh battery, a 32MP selfie camera, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and support for 25W fast charging. Galaxy M53 5G boots OneUI based on Android 12. The Galaxy M53 5G offers a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an Infinity-O notch. The device is based on an eight-core processor with a peak frequency of 2.4 GHz. While the brand did not list the processor used in the Galaxy M53, benchmark listings in the past have suggested that the Galaxy M53 will use the Dimensity 900 SoC.

The Samsung Galaxy M53 offers a quad rear camera setup and an LED flash. The main sensor in the phone is a 108-megapixel sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, a 32-megapixel front camera is used.

The Galaxy M53 5G is equipped with a 5000mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging. It’s unclear if the company will include a charging box in the Galaxy M53 5G retail box. Its dimensions are 77.0 x 164.7 x 7.4 mm and the weight is 176 grams. The phone boots OneUI 4.1 based on Android 12.

The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G is available in three color options: blue, green and brown. It only comes in one configuration – 6GB + 128GB. Users will have the option to expand storage using the micro-SD card slot. In terms of connectivity, it offers 5G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4G + 5GHz) and Bluetooth 5.2.

Samsung has yet to reveal pricing and availability information for the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G.
