The Proof app for TrollStore and MacDirtyCow makes it easy to find and copy app bundle IDs.

Sometimes you need to find the bundle ID of an app, especially if you’re using a jailbreak tweak that needs this information for the tweaks to work. But there is no easy way for the end user to find this information.

If you’re looking for an easier way to find and retrieve an app’s bundle ID, a new free app called Proof by iOS developer ETHN might suit your needs.

Proof is installed in one of two ways: 1) permanently signed by TrollStore on iOS 14.0-15.4.1 (and some 15.5 and 15.6 betas, excluding release candidates); or 2) uploaded for use with the MacDirtyCow exploit on iOS 15.0-16.1.2.

Once Proof is installed, you can launch the app and go to the Apps tab to view literally every app on your phone and its bundle ID associated with it, as shown above. The Settings tab contains a Respring button, which apparently gives you the option to restart your phone if necessary.

It’s worth noting that you can click on any app in the Apps tab to display a prompt similar to the one below:

This prompt includes not only a “Reject”button to close the prompt, but also a “Copy”button so you can quickly and easily copy the bundle ID to paste it somewhere else where you might need to use it.

Proof is a great app for anyone who needs easier access to app bundle IDs and might be worth taking a look at if that sounds like you. Those who want to try Proof can download it for free from the project’s GitHub page.
