2. Select “Register as a Performer”.
3. Choose the way you want to sign in.
4. Follow the instructions.
5. You will be asked to verify the associated email address.
6. Confirm by opening the link sent to your email.
7. Now open the SPRK Music app.

Now that you’ve created your profile, it’s time to upload your first video to the platform.

1. Click the plus button at the bottom middle of the screen.
2. Select Add Photo or Add Video.
3. Provide details such as video title and description.
4. Tap Continue.
5. Select other required video-related tags.
6. Choose any option between “Select Video”or “Capture Video”. (Here I choose “Select video”)
7. Choose where you want to download the video from. (Here I choose photos)
8. You can continue by adding a thumbnail.
9. Wait for the video to load.

The app’s user interface has a simple and minimalist approach, making it easy to get the content you want. As for the video player, there are gestures to adjust brightness and volume levels by sliding the player left and right respectively.

There is a 5-star rating system that helps to understand the quality of the review much better than the likes and dislikes of competitors. It’s funny how a popular platform turned off the entire dislike counter, and here we get a full-fledged feedback system.

There is also a favorite tab, one of my favorite features of the app. In this tab, you can access your favorite songs. To add a song to your favorites, tap the heart icon below the video player.

All the features mentioned above are available for fans and artists alike. Speaking of artist profiles, I was surprised by the options they provided when creating an account to indicate what part of the industry you are in.

Being able to specify your exact area of ​​expertise will help you get gigs through the platform. In addition, when uploading a video, you can choose from a variety of options. But I still have a few suggestions for the team.

Things I would like to see in the future

While my experience with SPRK Music has been great, I would still like to add a few suggestions to the team so that the app can be better than it already is. Even though the algorithm suggests pretty good songs, I would like it to see the newest content first and not the old one.

When I used the app in the beginning, I was literally wondering why no one is uploading any content, only to find that the algorithm needs some tweaking to provide everyone with the latest content.

Other than that, I’d like to see improvements to the user interface, such as a full-screen video player and the ability to play songs without videos. I also want to see the ability to adjust video quality and some UI tweaks like bigger and better icons.
