Four New Private Publishing Partnerships
- Die Gute Fabrik: Founded in 2008 by Nils Deneken and currently run by its chief executive officer and creative director Hanna Nicklin, this Copenhagen-based studio that primarily develops narrative games is best known for Mutazione, a soap opera about gossip and supernatural mutants that won awards at IGF and Indiecade 2019. He draws inspiration from a wide variety of disciplines and stories to push the boundaries of what video games can be. A new story game is in development
- Evening Star: Founded in 2018 by Christian Whitehead, Dave Padilla, Tom Fry, Hunter Bridges and Brad Flick and based in Los Angeles, the studio has branches in London and Melbourne. The founders previously worked on the famous Sonic Mania Plus game for Sega. Their debut game, as yet unannounced, is a 3D platformer that will use their own Star Engine.
- Studio Piccolo: Founded in 2015 by Alexis Corominas, Jordi Ministeral and Oriol Pujado, three friends who left their advertising agency in Barcelona to pursue video games. After hiring many talented Spanish developers, the studio’s debut game, Arise: A Simple Story, received critical acclaim for its storytelling and mechanics. New license is under development
- Yellow Brick Games: Founded in Quebec in 2020 by video game industry veterans. Featuring many successful AAA series such as Dragon Age, Assassin’s Creed and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six, Yellow Brick Games members strive to create experiences through innovative mechanics developed by a small but very talented team. The studio firmly believes that new systems in which the whole is greater than the sum of its parts bring rich and interactive worlds to life. Following this principle, YBG is currently developing an ambitious new role-playing game.
