One of the most frustrating things that can happen during an Overwatch 2 match is getting kicked out of the game – especially if it happens multiple times. If you’re experiencing shutdown issues, the issue might be on your side, or it might be the OW2 servers.

You may encounter several error messages – “Disabled because your profile has been disabled”or even “login failed”, “failed to connect to the game server”, etc. Once this happens, you can see a certain number of players queue. ahead of you.

How to fix user disconnect issues

• Check if the problem is with your internet connection. Make sure it’s stable before joining a match. Otherwise, don’t risk it, because leaving a match can affect your rating, even if it’s due to a bad connection.
• If possible, use an Ethernet cable. Reset network devices so that the router is not overloaded with data.
• Close any other online apps you may be using and make sure Overwatch 2 is getting bandwidth.
• Clear your DNS to resolve any network conflicts.

This has happened a few times before, and it could be due to a temporary outage or server overload. During such a scenario, there is nothing you can do to fix it. When this happened to me, all the players were kicked out, and the match was “cancelled” – the loss was not counted.

But when I was the only player who got kicked out of a game/match in Overwatch 2, I saw the option to return to a match on the main screen. Be sure to try to join as soon as possible, and if everything goes in your favor, your team might just win the match. But if the situation has changed before your return, your victory or defeat depends on the morale of the team at that moment, decisions about changing heroes and general skills.
