The exact launch date for 12 Ultra remains unknown. While we wait, design renders of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra have been leaked online.
Design renders uploaded by Zouton in collaboration with OnLeaks show the front and back of Xiaomi’s upcoming ultra-premium flagship smartphone. Let’s take a look at Xiaomi 12 Ultra design renders, specifications and other details.
Xiaomi 12 Ultra Design renders
Xiaomi 12 Ultra will appear in June or July 2022. Ahead of the official launch, images of the design of Xiaomi’s flagship phone have been leaked online. According to the leaked design images, the 12 Ultra will have a huge camera island on the back. The island has a circular camera module with multiple cutouts for camera lenses and other sensors. 12 Ultra is equipped with four cameras. There is also Leica branding on the back, further confirming that the flagship’s camera system will be customized in collaboration with the iconic camera maker.
The 12 Ultra is rumored to feature a 50MP main camera sensor and a 48MP ultra wide-angle camera. The 50 MP main camera can be equipped with a Sony IMX989 sensor. It will also likely feature two periscope camera sensors with different focal lengths.
There will be a hole punch cutout on the front in the top center of the display. The screen is curved and will be an AMOLED panel. It will support a refresh rate of at least 120Hz. The screen size is unknown, but we can expect the phone to come with a 6.8-inch panel. In addition, this time there is no additional display.
Under the hood, the 12 Ultra will be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It will launch with 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. The phone can also be equipped with a 5000mAh battery and support up to 120W fast charging out of the box.
The design also shows that the phone’s power and volume buttons are located on the right edge. The top edge houses a cutout for the secondary speaker, while the bottom edge houses the main speaker, USB Type-C port, and SIM tray.
