Google gave us a sneak peek at the Pixel 7 series at its annual I/O 2022 developer conference. The new flagship Pixel smartphones will debut later this year. Google will release two smartphones from the Pixel 7 series, which includes a vanilla model and a higher-end Pro model.

The new phones in the Pixel 7 series will more or less have the same design as the Pixel 6. There is a wide horizontal strip on the back for the camera sensors. The Google Pixel 7 Pro will be the company’s most premium smartphone for 2022, with a launch scheduled for later this year. A lot of new details were leaked ahead of the launch of the prototype device. Some people on the Google News Telegram channel were able to get details from a user who had access to the Pixel 7 Pro prototype. The company has already bricked up the device. However, community members managed to find new information through boot logs.

According to new leaks, the 7 Pro uses a Samsung S6E3HC4 display. By comparison, the Pixel 6 Pro comes with a Samsung S6E3HC3 panel. The Pixel 7 Pro will still have a resolution of 3120 x 1440.

In addition to this, the prototype shows that the second generation Tensor chip will have a 2+2+4 cluster configuration. The log files suggest that Google may continue to use Cortex-A55 cores for its low-power background tasks.

The phone also has a CS40l26 haptic driver and an NFC chip. In addition to this, the magazines show that the 7 Pro is codenamed cheetah. On the other hand, the Pixel 7 is codenamed “panther”.
