PUBG New State update 0.9.23 with first season, patch notes published
The pre-season for PUBG New State will end soon as the 0.9.23 update kicks off the first season. At the end of 2021, it was announced that the game would receive two major updates, one in January. and one in February.
The January update was confirmed earlier last week and Krafton shared some details about the 0.9.23 update. The update is one of the biggest for the game and it will open the first season of PUBG New State and its most significant addition to the game is the BR Extreme game mode.
The developers have shared a new teaser trailer that highlights all the new changes, improvements and content that will be available soon enough with the launch of update 0.9.23 sometime this week.
PUBG New State Update 0.9.23 Update Notes
New weapon: P90
- The P90 can now appear in Battleground Help Packs!
- This SMG will come with a standard level 2 transform scope and silencer attached, but it cannot be modified with other attachments.
- It will use 5.7mm rounds, which will also be added to the drone magazine.
PUBG New State Battle Pass Season 1
- Pre-season levels will be reset! Levels will reset for all regions and modes based on the highest Survivor level reached during the pre-season.
- The final achievement rewards for Contender, Master and Conquerer will be improved.
- The match score and tier scoring standards will be updated.
- A small amount of level points will be awarded for selecting multiple cards (random selection 2).
New BR Mode: Extreme
A new, more dynamic game mode will limit the number of players to 64 in TROI. Each round of the match will only last 20 minutes, and the battlefield is limited to a small playable area within the TROI. The area will be randomly selected at the start of each match.
All players start with the same equipment, which includes:
- Pistol P1911
- 1 smoke grenade
- 300 drone credits
- Fully charged boostmeters
In addition to equipment and a limited play area, the new mode will include many settings to speed up the pace of the match. These adjustments include:
- Increased the number of vehicles and items throughout Troy, allowing players to farm faster.
- Survivors will jump from a plane from a lower height in order to land on the map as quickly as possible.
- Delivery drones will arrive faster, allowing players to receive items faster.
- The waiting time before relocating a teammate has been reduced to 60 seconds.
