Xbox Game Pass is often compared to Netflix for gaming, and just like Netflix, games are constantly being added and removed from the service each month. This month, the giant PUBG: Battlegrounds will be released from Game Pass along with 6 other games.
The list of games coming out of Game Pass this month is as follows:
- PUBG: Battlegrounds
- Pandemic: The Board Game (PC, Xbox)
- Mount and Blade: Warband (PC, Xbox)
- Little Akko
- Desperados III (PC, Xbox)
- YIIK: Postmodern RPG
- fairy tale ghost
These games will stop working at the end of the month, but PUBG fans probably won’t be too disappointed as the game will still go free-to-play on January 12, 2022.
PUBG: Battlegrounds and 6 other games will leave Xbox Game Pass in January 2022
There are some great games coming to Game Pass in January 2022, namely The Anacrusis, Pupperazzi, and Windjammers 2. The rest of the year looks pretty packed for Game Pass as major Xbox titles like Starfield head out. for service on the first day.
2022 is going to be a big year for Microsoft and Xbox, and it looks like the success of Game Pass may have prompted Sony and PlayStation to introduce a service to compete with that service. According to reports, Sony may currently be working on a service similar to Game Pass, which is scheduled to launch in the spring of 2022.
Details about the new service are still a bit scarce, but it doesn’t seem far-fetched that Sony would be looking to compete with Xbox on that front. It will be interesting to see how Sony decides on the price of the service, as one of Game Pass’s most compelling factors is its incredibly affordable price.
