Diablo IV Public Beta Should Begin Early 2023
Closed beta testing of Diablo IV will be organized very soon. The public beta will arrive early next year. The focus will be on the endgame.
Blizzard intends to invite some of its most dedicated fans to play Diablo IV in the coming weeks. The studio did recently share some details about the game’s closed beta. Using “specific game data”, Blizzard will select a certain number of players who have recently spent “meaningful”time with experiences outside of the main story of Diablo II: Resurrected and Diablo III.
Diablo IV Closed Beta Coming Soon
If you feel you fit that description, you can let the studio know you’re interested in this beta by making sure you have Battle.net News & Specials enabled on your account by October 11th. After that, wait until you receive an invitation email from Blizzard.
Public beta coming early next year
When the beta is released, it will be playable on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PS4 with support for crossplay and cross-progression between supported platforms. If you haven’t been selected to participate in this phase of the beta, please note that Blizzard has clarified that the public beta will launch early next year.
The focus will be on the endgame
The upcoming beta will focus on the Diablo IV endgame for a number of reasons. Blizzard explains that they don’t want to spoil the game’s story before it launches. This decision is also a reflection of how many gamers enjoy Diablo games. “For many, the endgame is their favorite aspect of Diablo – we want it to be content-rich, never falling behind a demanding experience over many play sessions,”the studio said, adding that player feedback will play an important role in fine-tuning. All this.
However, you need to know one thing. Don’t expect to hear about the game after the closed beta. Blizzard has stated that the event will be “confidential,”which is a not-too-subtle hint that Diablo IV content was leaked over the weekend.
