Other gaming-specific features are present, including volumetric rendering, which adds particle graphics such as fog and smoke. Variable rate auto shading will improve overall performance, for example by rendering content that is in the blend box and limiting the background of the scene to a lower resolution. The company also explains that Snapdragon Sound with Qualcomm aptX can provide lossless and lag-free audio for video games.
The chip also supports photos up to 200 MP, as well as HDR video capture with triple exposure of two lenses at the same time. With 18-bit triple ISP compatibility, it should also be easier to capture gorgeous low-light shots. Qualcomm says Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 devices can capture 30 frames and combine the best parts into one frame for the most vivid, sharp and realistic rendering possible.
In terms of connectivity, the game finally has dual 4G and 5G SIM cards, delivering download speeds of up to 4.4Gbps on cellular thanks to the new X62 5G modem. In terms of Wi-Fi, Qualcomm explains that the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip will enable downloads at up to 3.6Gbps.
