Realme Book Slim now certified by Evo
Realme has just announced that their Realme Book Slim laptop is now Evo certified. This announcement will surely interest Realme fans. The Realme Book Slim has recently garnered some attention due to some of its standout features such as a 2K display and an affordable $610 price tag for the base model.

However, this base model will not be certified for the Evo. To find out why Evo certification is so important these days and why only certain Realme Book Slim models are Evo certified, you need to first know what the Intel Evo platform is.
Intel Evo platform
Notebooks based on the Intel Evo platform have some distinguishing features that make them certified by Intel. There are several conditions that a laptop must meet in order to receive the Intel Evo certification. First of all, the laptop must be powered by 11th generation Intel Core processors coupled with Intel Iris X graphics. In addition to the processor, the laptop must have Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and wake up from sleep in less than a second. In addition, the laptop must provide 9 hours of battery life with a Full HD screen resolution and have a Thunderbolt port. These are the conditions that a laptop must meet in order to receive the Intel Evo certification.
Is Realme Book Slim quality for Intel’s Evo badge?
Yes and no. First of all, as I mentioned earlier, the base model with the 11th Gen Intel Core i3 will not be Evo certified at all. However, the $770 top model certainly qualifies for Evo certification. The Realme Book Slim is powered by an 11th Gen Intel Core i3 or i5 processor paired with 8GB of RAM and Intel Iris X graphics. It has a 512GB PCIe SSD for ultra-fast read and write speeds and super-fast boot times. There’s also Wi-Fi 6 and a Thunderbolt port on board. So, it’s quite clear that Realme has received Intel’s Evo certification for the laptop.

Other than that, the Realme Book Slim also features a 2K display with very clever bezels around it and Harman stereo speakers with DTS audio processing. The screen-to-body ratio of the laptop is excellent – 90%. The laptop comes with a 55 Wh battery that is rated for up to 11 hours of Full HD video playback. The laptop comes with a 65W charger. Users can get a charge from 0% to 50% in less than half an hour.
The Realme Book Slim comes preloaded with Windows 10 and Microsoft Office Home & Student at no extra cost. Users will also be able to upgrade to Windows 11 for free next month. In terms of processor, there are two options, one with an 11th Gen Core i3 and the other with an 11th Gen Core i5. In terms of color, users can choose between true blue and true grey. However, only the 11th Gen Core i5 variant will be certified for the Intel Evo.
