Realme GT 2 Appears on Code of India Website, Global Variant Could Launch Dec 20: Expected Specs

Realme is getting ready to launch its next flagship smartphone. The company will introduce the GT 2 Pro worldwide on December 20th. The device will be Realme’s most expensive smartphone and will feature the latest hardware. The company has started teasing some key specs of the device. One of the confirmed details includes a super-wide 150-degree camera sensor. Along with the Pro model, Realme is expected to introduce the GT 2, which will be a simplified version of the Pro model. Realme will launch the GT 2 series worldwide on December 20th. The devices are expected to be unveiled soon. The vanilla model, dubbed the GT 2, is likely to debut alongside the GT 2 Pro on December 20th. Realme will unveil the specs and features of the GT 2 at the event. The vanilla model will likely launch alongside the Pro variant in India in the first quarter of 2022. 91Mobiles, courtesy of consultant Mukul Sharma, announced the device’s listing on the company’s website. While the listing does not include a launch date, it hints at a launch soon.

While nothing is known about the vanilla model’s specs, details of the GT 2 Pro have been leaked. The phone will have a 6.7-inch flat 2K AMOLED display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. It will likely also have a 32-megapixel front-facing camera below the screen.

On the back of the device will be a Nexus 6P-style triple camera setup. There will be a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main sensor with optical image stabilization and another 50-megapixel sensor for ultra-wide images. The camera setup will be completed with an 8 MP telephoto lens.

The phone will have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, up to 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. There will be a 4500/5000 mAh battery with 65W fast charging. Finally, it will run Android 12 out of the box with a Realme UI 3.0 skin on top.
