The Realme GT Neo5 can apparently charge its 4600mAh battery from 0 to 20% in 80 short seconds, or from 0 to 50% in four minutes, or from 0 to 100% in just 80 seconds. 9.5 minutes. Realme’s 240W SuperVOOC fast charging feature is possible thanks to an extremely compact Dual-GaN adapter paired with a proprietary USB-C cable that can deliver 20V/12A to the battery – a similar implementation by Redmi -. The adapter is also compatible with USB-PD up to 65W, as well as existing solutions based on Qualcomm QC and Oppo VOOC – the previous record for the latter was 150W. Realme also claims that even after 1600 cycles (about 4 years of use), the battery does not lose more than 20% of its original state.
Realme GT Neo5 has a cute little decoration on the back under the glass around the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 with a glowing RGB ring that can be customized with 25 colors for different scenes. All this is surrounded by the NFC system, to the right of the photomodule. Speaking of the latter, it consists of a 50MP main lens (Sony IMX890 sensor and OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens.

On the front is a 6.74-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2772 x 1240 pixels, up to 144Hz, but with a touch sampling rate of 1500Hz, which is noticeable for video games. There’s also an under-screen fingerprint sensor and a 16MP notched selfie lens. Also on top there is an infrared emitter, stereo speakers and an 8-layer heat dissipation system. All of this is available in black, white or purple, with frosted glass on the back.
The Realme GT Neo5 is already available in China in two variants, one with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for 3,199 Yuan (about 440€), but increasing the storage to 1TB only raises the price by 3,499 Yuan (480€). There is also a variant with a 5000mAh battery and 150W charging, priced from 2499 Yuan (€340, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage) to 2899 Yuan (400€, 16GB RAM and 256GB storage). storage).
Realme GT Neo5 will leave Chinese borders “soon”without further details. At the same time, the 240W SuperVOOC function will debut in the international market in another long-awaited Realme GT3 smartphone, which will appear before the end of the month.
