Red Magic 7 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and custom Red Core 1 chip launched globally: price, specifications

ZTE launched the Nubia Red Magic 7 series earlier this year in China. The company has launched two gaming phones, namely the Red Magic 7 and the high-end Pro model. A few weeks after the debut in China, Nubia launched the Red Magic 7 Pro to global markets. The device has yet to receive official launch confirmation in the Indian market.

The Red Magic 7 Pro is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It also has a dedicated chip designed to enhance the gaming experience. Let’s take a look at the Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro price, specifications and other details.

Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro Price

Red Magic 7 Pro is available in global markets after launch in China. It can be bought in a variant with 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. This option costs $799. The base variant is available in Obsidian Black. There is also a transparent Supernova version with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. This option costs $899.

The device will soon be available for purchase in the UK, Europe, North America, the Middle East, and more.

Specifications and features of Red Magic 7 Pro

The new gaming smartphone from Nubia is more or less similar to the Chinese version. The only significant difference is in the charging speed. The global model supports 65W fast charging instead of the 135W of the Chinese model. Under the cover is a 5000 mAh battery.

The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and comes with a dedicated Red Core 1 chipset. Nubia claims that the dedicated chip helps improve gaming experience and sound quality. In addition, players can customize shoulder triggers for compatible games. To keep the temperature under control, the device is equipped with an ICE 8.0 cooling system and a 20,000 rpm RGB fan.

There is a 6.8-inch Full HD+ OLED display. The screen supports 165Hz refresh rate and 500Hz touch sampling rate. There is no notch at the top, instead the phone has a 16-megapixel front camera below the display. On the back, there is a triple camera setup with a 64MP main camera sensor. It also has an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro camera. Finally, the phone runs Android 12 based Red Magic UI out of the box.
